You've made it through the first step.  You've taken the test and got your "ticket".  Now you want to get on the air but you haven't got a clue where to start.  We are here to help you with a couple of resources:

Choosing a Ham Radio is a document from the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) that will help you select the right equipment.

VHF/UHF Handhelds is a reprint from CQ Magazine originally printed in February 2009

Marie Callender'sJoin us for Breakfast on the last Saturday of each month.  We meet at the Marie Callender's in Morgan Hill (18599 Sutter Boulevard at Cochrane Rd).  Breakfast starts around 8 AM.  After everyone is sufficiently satisfied, a short business meeting brings the members up to date on what's happening in the HAM world.
