MeetingMinutesAugust2005
From W6GGF
Hi all,
If you missed last Saturday's meeting you missed something worth
while. I have pictures of the meeting I can share if you are interested. We had
some guests and we welcome them back as soon as possible.
First, we recognized Thom West, KD6CJX, who was recently awarded
"Volunteer of the Year" for the 2004 Garlic Festival by the president of the
Garlic Festival. Congratulations Thom! Great job!
Second, we had a by Brian Woodson, KE6SVX, on the GVARC cabinet replacement and the Radio Mobile programs for plotting RF propagation around geographic terrain. Both of these were very interesting and we had a lot of interaction on both. Brian brought his laptop and I borrowed a projector from work and we showed the presentations on the wall.
We agreed to send $100 to the folks who helped find our new cabinet and also reimburse Woody's gas expenses for hauling the cabinet back to Morgan Hill.
Thanks again Woody.
We need volunteers who can help us get the cabinet in shape for use at
the repeater site. Can anyone who would like to help please send me an
e-mail at frankf@garlic.com and let me know if you are willing to meet with
us some Monday, Wednesday or Friday evening about 7:30 to see the cabinet and
do some planning.
Thanks, frank

I am moving to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, Claud. The house is sold and escrow should close 9/22. We may be on road to our rental home by 9/23. HSV is the nation's largest gated community (26,000 acres, 13,000 residents) and we are hoping to get a lake front home on one of the larger lakes.
Don Trigueiro KA6AUR is the new president now and Jim, W6SC is the new W6GGF Trustee.
Thank you for all the help you have given us with the web Claud and all the best to you and yours. I should be QRV with my real QTH in W5 land by next summer.
73, frank
