W6GGF is the call of the Garlic Valley Amateur Radio Club. GVARC owns and operates a 2-meter repeater in Morgan Hill, CA on 147.825 -600 with a 100Hz PL. Members of GVARC are active in South Santa Clara County ARES activities as well as community service. GVARC is an ARRL Public Service Club. Each year GVARC members help as operators for the communications facilities used at the Gilroy Garlic Festival. Althought not affiliated with the festival the club celebrates the event with its call letters which were chosen to commemerate the event. GVARC has its monthly club meeting at the Sunrise Restaurant in Gilroy on the last Saturday of each month at 8am.
